Football Premier League Clubs are permitted to conduct the purchase and sale of players during the winter and summer transfer windows. The winter transfer window usually opens on the first day of the year and closes on the last day of January. The summer transfer window generally opens on June 10th and closes on the final day of August. In the transfer windows, notice periods are served and players move out at their will.

Paul Pogba’s transfer to Manchester United looks increasingly imminent now, with major betting websites like Ladbrokes, Skybet etc having terminated betting on the same already. Apparently, the deal has still not gone through because there hasn’t been an agreement in place as to who will pay the fee for Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola. Media houses across the world are reporting that a fee of around £100 million has already been agreed over his transfer, which will surpass Real Madrid’s fee for Gareth Bale (£87 million), thereby making Paul Pogba the most expensive transfer of all time. Paul Pogba recently posted the above image on his Twitter account in what looks like a cryptic, subtle message which has further fuelled his transfer to United.

Other rumours link Leroy Sane with Manchester City, however, that move is not going to warrant a similarly huge investment from the City board.

Southampton has opened talks with Anderlecht to take over midfielder Samuel Bastien, who has been on loan at Italia Serie B Side Avellino and was targeted by Liverpool earlier this season.
