Nico Rosberg slipped behind Hamilton in the standings after the Hungary GP, but Johnny Herbert, Expert Analyst, says Rosberg will fire on home soil in Germany. Rosberg won the German GP in 2014 and having missed it last year, he finally returns for the 2016 season.
Nico Rosberg, who once led the Championship by 43 points earlier in the season, is now behind his Mercedes teammate and World Champion Lewis Hamilton by 6 points.
After Lewis Hamilton was hooted in Austria, the British fans retaliated by hooting Rosberg despite Lewis’ win. Johnny Herbert doesn’t specify that he is confident enough for Rosberg to take the lead, but he believes that Rosberg will become the fastest qualifier again.
The Sky Sports F1 analyst said; “Nico took pole, and the win, the last time F1 raced at Hockenheim and whilst I’m not sure about his winning credentials this week, I do think he’s got the pace to start at the front of the grid, on a track where I’m expecting the Mercedes power to prove extremely beneficial.”
The F1 World Champion title is out there for the taking, but who’s going to nick it in the end? Will Hamilton keep breaking records with another consecutive title, or will Rosberg finally break his curse to become world champion? We have a feeling this weekend’s race might set the pace for the remaining season.
